Aquaponics Backyard Systems
By K Bray

To grow organic crops fresh water and soil is required and there is no new soil being produced so the demand at some point is going to over ride the supply.
Aquaponics Gardens Take A Little Time Before Being Ready For Planting
An aquaponic garden is a much different way to grow plants than what people are accustom to, but they are very simple to set up and to maintain. There are some things about this way of farming that people will have to learn and get used to. But after seeing the results it can produce and the simplicity of the system, it can become a life changing experience for those interested in growing their own food.
Aquaponics is the marriage of aquaculture (raising fish) and hydroponics (the soilless growing of plants) that grows fish and plants together in one integrated system. The fish waste provides an organic food source for the growing plants and the plants provide a natural filter for the water the fish live in. The third participants are the microbes...
Certification / Education
I will be retiring soon and I have been experimenting with Aquaponics for the last 8 months. I am very interested in attending classes/on-line courses/ and or classes that I will result in certification. I know that there are classes in UVI and Friendly. Does anyone know of on-line classes?
An email I received from Murray Hallam:

Commercial Aquaponics Training

They usually have no background in farming, hydroponics or aquaculture but are looking to take their lives on a new path. They want to be a part of the unique potential for global change that commercial aquaponics offers.
The Symbiotic Relationship of Aquaponics
The symbiotic relationship of aquaponics is much clearer if you understand the ways in which each of the farming methods offers up its faults to the other, and gives back by accepting faults for itself. A complete ecosystem can be achieved just by allowing nature to do what comes naturally - correcting itself with adaptation.
